The people of Baton Rouge need to arm themselves and shoot to kill, especially with the upcoming riots after the Alton Sterling decision.

Ask this guy how it worked out for him in New Orleans and with the change in Baton Rouge politically I would just move out of the area.

Also; nothing better than mixing some ketchup and mayo to make a fancy sauce to top the steak with.
Yes. Add some hot sauce. Especially if you you don't have honey mustard or ranch to dip it in.

Do you know what Piggly Wiggly, where was it?..The one that Warrick Dunn's mother was leaving and went to the Night drop at the Bank on Jefferson Hwy? I've always wondered if it was on Gov't, but I've never been to find out through internet Advocate articles, etc.

Bastards. Doe's makes the best tamales on the planet

Edit: I agree the steak is overrated, but the tamales? Incredible.

Warrick's mom Mrs Betty Smothers was making her drop at what is now Citizen's ATM on Jefferson Hwy(next door to Backpacker), and across from Bocage Shopping Center if I recall correctly.

Winn-Dixie then later Piggly Wiggly, were the anchor store in the shopping center behind Superior Grill., but I'm not sure whose drop she was working?

Ok, somebody a long time ago had told me Calvin's used to be Winn Dixie, but I wasn't sure. Damn, that was an extremely short car ride to the bank.

Although Calvins was once a Piggly Wiggly prior to the shooting , that was not the store that the manager and Betty Smothers were coming from. It was a Piggly Wiggly possibly where the Winn Dixie was behind Superior Grill or maybe on Florida St.
I used to throw darts with a guy who was a manager there that was sick the night of the shooting. He always said by all rights it should have been him with Betty that night.

They do tend to undercook their steaks. I ordered medium rare, and it was still chewy, maybe even under typical rare temp. Better than overcooking imo though. You can always send it back to be cooked a little more. They are some big arse steaks too.

Christ people...some Father of a 2 year old is fighting for his life , or dead, after being shot point blank by some crazy car jacking AA freak and you guys just want to discuss tamales and big-arse badly done steak....that's the problem with BR it is happening so frequently it's not even a real topic anymore. Stop acting like it's no big deal and then maybe, just maybe, it will stop.....it's a big fricking mess in our city since Katrina and I cant wait for my kids to graduate so I can get the hell out of here.
