I guess there is some connection with him and Skip going from Baseball coach the AD.

No, it's the idiots like you that believe PM has done a good job at LSU. How ANYONE thinks highly of this man is truly one of the world's greatest mysteries. A seventh grade softball coach could come to LSU and do what he has done.... get real!

The last baseball coach we promoted to AD was approached by Nick Saban in late 2006 about returning to coach here and said "No, Nick, you go on to Alabama. I need to be fair to Les Miles". Former coaches don't make good ADs. They are more loyal to the coaches than to the school.

Bad suggestion. No coach needs to have the added burden of being an Athletic Director.

Really? You should check his baseball record at Notre Dame and compare it to their record since he left. He's most certainly a good coach.

Your name gives us all very valuable insight as to the content of your postings.

CPM has the team in position to go to the CWS year in and year out and that's not good enough?

I'd be willing to bet you know nothing about the daily duties of an athletic director at a huge uni

i believe a lot of people on this board thinks that an AD's only job is to sit around and wait to hire and fire coaches.

I'd take Miles as the AD over Manieri, but that's strictly my open. Miles has the better resume as an advocate to the university.

Why so he can never take responsibility and throw all players from all programs under the bus?

Then he can hire his unqualified lackies to important jobs in the department?

And for the record I'm no talking about his record as a coach. He is just an arse hole that has twice now hired unqualified coaches.
