Took her nearly two months too admit this even though we all knew.

And, and typical liberal arrogance doubled down on dumb in that it's ok for her to do this.

Your aunt is apparently a fricking idiot. Especially if she said this in a classroom within a Republican area.

Your aunt sounds like a nasty woman.

Are you gloating that your own aunt lost her job?

I would have figured that Alabama would be the one place where blood was thicker than water on account of all the... frick it, I was trying to force an inbred joke in there but it's not happening. You know what I'm trying to say.

It's one thing to hold political conversations in the classroom where they are warranted, it's another to tell kids how to vote.

My kids ask me about my political affiliations, and I tell them it doesn't matter. I challenge them to form their own based on their beliefs.

Unless she had other issues, her firing is not appropriate.

Probably had some sort of other reprimand in her file though.

I'm glad the school the used to work for had the balls to confront this issue and handle it properly. There my still be hope for this countries educational system.

How is she going to afford your beer and cigarettes? You may have to start dating one of your other aunts/cousins/sisters.

Good. I don't care who she told the students they should or should not have voted for. And firing seems a bit harsh. Perhaps some sort of reprimand or very brief suspension. But she was wrong no matter the party she preached against
