unreal that a coach is fired this late after the season is over. they must have a coach who has told them he will come. Who knew Chip K was in strong demand after a dismal NFL career

I don't know why Chip would go to Cal, but the timing of this is very strange. Cal is too broke to be paying for any buyouts without having a surefire plan in place.

Completely unexpected, but I agree with those who say the timing is suspicious.
I should have said "unexpectedly good news." There is nothing more frustrating than watching a Dykes defense and cringing at how bad it is every year.

If Chip ends up at Cal, I feel sorry for Taggart. Peterson, Leach, Anderson, Shaw and Kelly is one hell of a gauntlet.
