We went for the first time ever this year. Bringing my 6 year old for the first time. Ended up going with family which included a mid-20's couple who goes ever year. From what I know and observed about them they are pretty much 12 year olds stuck in grown bodies. Collecting those Disney pins and memorized everything about the parks. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I would go again for the kids but as an adult I would go someplace else. The huge crowds are too much as well as the cost. And on the whole the food sucked donkey balls. I'd rather eat at Circle K every night.

We stayed on property, got all the extra magic this, park hopper that, various other extras and meal plans. 3 people, $7000.

shite for $7k I better get to bang Rapunzel and kick that stupid fricking lizard out a window.

Hey, do what you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, but it's a tad creepy.

Enjoy. But remember, a child that age has a finite amount of stamina and concentration. I've been a couple of times and towards the end of the day you see lots of toddlers totally melting down because their parents were totally clueless to that fact.

What's with the Disney World Obsession?

I went my first time when i was 18. It was ok, but like you, i didn't get the obsession. I went again (i'm 34 now) about a year ago with my wife, our son, her family, and my family and her family. I get it now. My son was 1 at the time so he didn't really get much out of it, but he seemed to enjoy himself. I loved it. It's great because it's isolated in its own world. There is no trash on the ground, no gas stations, no wal mart, etc... It was the world of Disney. I gained a new appreciation for it, and we plan on going back in a year or 2 when our son is older and can enjoy everything.

I don't really care about DW, but I can't wait to see her reactions to seeing her favorite characters and just being there. She is going to lose her mind.

I agree with you though...no idea why couples go. Not for me.

See, this makes sense to me. You have a young daughter who will love it. Should be a fun time to see her having a good time.

Just went with me and my wife last month.

Very little lines, if any. Do you even fastpass, bro?

Holiday themed. Fun rides, good food, cool fireworks.

I really don't care if other people like Disney or not. Me and my wife have a damn good time. Will be taking our daughter in 3 years.

So you post that and then say this:

At least once a fricking month.

Millions of people like Disney World.

My friend tell me he doesn't understand how I love Disney World, and I tell him I don't understand how he loves sitting in a deer stand or a duck blind.

Different people like different things. It ain't rocket science.

Those two statements don't contradict themselves. Again, continue to be creepy if you want to and it doesn't hurt anyone else. No skin off my back.

The irony of the gif of bugs bunny cutting off Florida from the mainland, compared to the OT vigor, that rivals the defense of the Alamo, when Disney is even thought to be slandered

We have some friends that are just like the OP described. They are later 20s couple with no kids and go to DW every year. They are huge Disney, Harry Potter, Star Wars nerds, so they love it.

But they also go on other vacations that the OP would certainly approve. They did Spain, Italy and Greece this summer.

They are planning on going to Norway and Sweden this year..as well as another trip to DW.

So

yeah most of the places he listed are massive tourist attractions and will be facing just as much crowds as one would at DW

Bro...

You think the crowds at Machu Picchu and "an African Safari" are the same as a 5-hr wait to ride the latest Frozen ride at Disney?

Just about the best age, give or take a year or so. Its all about the kids.

Will disagree on that one. There are some amazing restaurants - the Tusker House is a prime example. And, once again, most have to remember that its catered towards the kids.

I've never been to any of the places I listed.

You need to calm down and work out whatever insecurities you're dealing with.

well I haven't been to DW at peak times, so I don't really know

but I've been to a lot of the places you listed, and the crowds are pretty insane (for me at least)
