Daycares in Baton Rouge

Got a little man on the way in March and me and the Mrs. are in need of a daycare. We will not need one until August due to she is a teacher, but everyone is telling us we need to lock one down now. We visited the Learning Center a few weeks back and she went to Family Christian Academy Daycare this morning. Liked both and FCA was about $45 cheaper per week. Anybody sent their kids there or hear anything good/bad about this place?

You need to pick up the phone and get on waiting list just after bustin' in them guts. You are way behind. Good luck.

Both have said that they still have spots available.

We've looked at them all, but have narrowed it down to Learning Center and FCA due to location. Seeing if anybody knows of anyone that went there or have first hand experience.

Have you considered a live in nanny? People think they're pricey but $50,000/year plus room and board will get you a decent one.

No chance, hell my wife doesn't make that now. She could be a stay at home mom for that price.

Our child went to the learning center. The teachers do a great job of caring for your child and providing a safe environment. The only problem we had with them is that they are quick to send your kid home if he or she sick, and they make you have a doctors note for every little ailment. Overall though the place is great and you will never have to worry about your child safety or well being.

My boy went to FCA and I couldn't say one bad thing about it. From the price, to the location to the staff. The people there truly love the kids and appreciate the job they have. Would highly recommend it

FCA
I've heard that when a parent questioned a teacher about a legitimate issue she had with one of their policies, the teacher responded that she needed to 'pray about it'.
Bluebonnet traffic alone would keep me away from that place

Have used FCA for all three of mine. We have been happy with everything at FCA. All issues were addressed promptly and professionally. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
I highly recommend this place.

That is my only legit concern. My wife's concern is that they only give one nap a day to 8 month year old and older. I thought that was standard, but she said most babies need two
