LSU’s red zone D held FBS winning teams to a TD% of 16.6%.

Only one other team (Ohio St) was under 40%, and they were at 38.7%

Here's a crazy stat for you:

While we were first in TD% allowed in red zone, we were dead last by a mile in FG% allowed in red zone.
LINK

Over 57%, next worst was funny enough Alabama at just over 42%. We had an incredibly unlucky year with FGs against us, opponents were 25 of 26 in total of FGs against us, unreal...

I'm not sure where it finished, but opposing kickers were 12 of 12, or close to, in FGs against LSU after the AU game. That's a pretty insane stat for college.

Way worse, 25 of 26, that's honestly just nuts

makes sense actually. Forcing more 4 down situations in the red zone should lead to more FGs

While true, it doesnt mean they have to make every FG they attempt

Yeah it was around 12 straight after AU. 25 of 26 is fricking insane for college kickers.

3<6... I'll take that stat every day that ends in Y. You can't block every kick or control how good the other kicker is.

Guys, think about red zone FG %. If teams aren't scoring TDs, they are kicking a lot of short FGs.

College kickers are far from automatic, even inside the redzone.
