The Bama football team all driving new Chargers is the worst kept secret in recruiting. It's incredible that they get away with it so easily. Hell, what big TAF member owns a car dealership? We need to compete at their level.

Yeah I guess it doesnt take much. Advertise the lease/sale of the car in public. Quickly take it down. Then give the player the deal. For something like 100/mo note.

What kind of vehicle does LSU usually give their commits? We've had a lot of LSU commits in NELA but I've never seen them get a new vehicle right after committing. Maybe it's just a coincidence that bama recruits get vehicles soon after committing?

Waaaaay back in the day, I was a valet at CCLA, and one night they were having a party and some LSU players were invited. I kept waiting for them to hand me the keys to some $50,000 new car, but all of them drove older, used cars. I remember Skyler Green in particular had the shittiest, most beat up old early 80s Toyota Camry.

I always saw him driving a black ford explorer sport trac with giant rims on it. Wasn't a new car at the time though.

The fact that Trent Richardson drove an $80,000 fully loaded Tahoe while his family lived in government funded housing was probably the biggest red flag thrown in our generation and nothing was ever done

This is a lie!!!! Trent had two cars at his disposal and mom was not living in government housing his last year in Tuscaloosa. She was "renting" a four bedroom house in a subdivision where the average home price was about 225K.

Please get your facts straight.

Looping on the ESPN banner every 4 minutes and the SC lead story if Buggs committed to LSU then tweeted out that pic.

So they actually gave him 2 cars AND a free place for his mother to live?

You would think they would diversify the cars a little to make it look less obvious. I assume they all come from the same Dodge dealership?

ETA: I really hate it that the NCAA is going to come down hard on UAB for this.

For a while there a lot of LSU players drove dodge sports cars. I know for a fact a Chevrolet dealership helps Alabama players. Sources... My dad is decent friends with Nick Saban and from 08-12 was occasionally used as an unofficial team doctor.
