Winning, its contagious.

Teenage opera prodigy Jackie Evancho has seen sales of her recorded music shoot up since it was confirmed the singer will perform the National Anthem at Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington, DC on January 20.
quote:
I have recently been asked by the President-elect to perform the National Anthem for the swearing-in ceremony at the inauguration,” Evancho said earlier this month during an interview on Today. “I’m so excited. It’s going to be awesome.”
Winning, its contagious.

I imagine Evancho's sales would've done something similar if she had declined. You're assuming the sales increased because she said yes to the inauguration. Her sales probably increased because this is the first time anyone has ever heard of her.

Epic spin zone reply right out the gate.
Where would we be without you setting us straight on inauguration performers. Talk about desperation to defend a side

You have no idea what you are talking about. I know you have at least 4 years of MAGA coming your way.

You're getting pretty good at this whole mental gymnastics thing.

The entertainment elite’s Inaugural boycott will backfire — again
Few performers seem willing to step up and entertain the country when the new president is sworn in on Jan. 20. With the news last week that opera singer Andrea Bocelli had bowed to pressure and dropped out of the Inauguration Day concert, and with a member of the Rockettes leading a social-media rebellion against performing for the president, Kid Rock is currently the biggest name scheduled to appear.
And liberals are giddy. Because they still don’t get it.
Robert Reich, Bill Clinton’s labor secretary who has transformed himself into the Michael Moore of Facebook, is promoting something called the Freedom United Concert to air at the same time as the inauguration. The concert would benefit all the usual liberal charities and Reich hopes to get big names like Jay-Z and Madonna to perform. “Presto,” he writes. “The Trump inauguration loses all the TV ratings. Basically, no one watches it.”
That’ll show him.
Jay-Z and Madonna both already performed during the election to gin up support for Hillary Clinton — and clearly failed. But sure, one more concert should swing the country to Reich’s side.
The real issue is the bubble created by the left’s Stalinized airbrushing of non-liberals out of American popular culture.

Evancho? Sounds Russian. Will she be moving into the White House while the other Russian bride hides in her tower in New York?

Fair point, and probably the best post you've made on this board

Politico is doing their daily diary. What is this Symbol for President Trump?

Trump adviser on lack of star power at inauguration: ‘This is not Woodstock’
Donald Trump’s inaugural committee is having no problems finding celebrities to attend his inauguration because that’s not who the committee is looking for, Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn said Tuesday.
“Not at all,” Epshteyn, the inaugural committee communications director, told CNN. “You know, this is not Woodstock. It’s not Summer Jam. It’s not a concert. It’s not about celebrities. As Donald Trump tweeted himself, it’s about the people. That’s what we’re concentrated on.”
Indeed, the president-elect tweeted last week that “so-called ‘A’ list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration” but stressed that he wants the everyday Americans who supported his campaign to attend.
“[L]ook what they did for Hillary, NOTHING,” he tweeted about such stars.
In the final days of the presidential campaign, Trump blasted Clinton for using such luminaries as Jay Z, Beyoncé, Jon Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga to attract larger crowds at her campaign stops. He boasted that he didn’t need such attractions because his supporters showed up at his massive rallies to “make America great again.”
His tweet followed reports that Trump was struggling to secure talent to perform at his inauguration. So far, the only confirmed acts include the Radio City Rockettes, “America’s Got Talent” runner-up Jackie Evancho and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
“The Rockettes represent the American people. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir represents the American people,” Epshteyn said, adding that other yet-to-be-named performers will also represent everyday Americans. “And that’s what we’re concentrating on.”
He said the inaugural committee will “absolutely be rolling more out, no question about it.”
For his part, Trump’s focus — at least publicly — has been on drawing large crowds rather than any stars.
“Well, we all did it, together!” he tweeted Dec. 16. “I hope the ‘MOVEMENT’ fans will go to D.C. on Jan 20th for the swearing in. Let's set the all time record!"

How is it desperation to defend a side? Desperation to defend a side is creditong the inauguration with the increase in her sales when there's probably a more logical reason as to why those numbers increased.
