I taste nothing but onions from Bloom. I get the same from some 3 Floyd's brews. It's me not the beer.

For me 15' was a big year for craft beer in LA. Nola started up the Funk program and GiTM offially arrived. Everybody was pumped about the Raft. At the time I'd of put LA only behind FL and NC in the Southeast.

As 17' approaches LA has fallen squarely behind GA with the arrival of Creature Comforts and Mazurt there. Depending on how liberal you wanna be with the borders I'd throw Virginia ahead too with the explosion in the Roanoke area. You could argue the existence of Westbrook alone puts SC ahead too.

I'm still hoping LA pulls it together. I'd be thrilled to see BR or Nola be known as a legit craft beer destination. As fads go the craft beer industry has drifted toward three things in recent years. The giant barrel aged beer, the cloudy hop bomb IPA and wood aged sours/saisons. LA won't join the national conversation until someone arrives who can do one of these well.

I could give two shits about national conversation.
