Hopefully Jamal Adams and others who are going to the draft follow his lead. He is a true leader and the heart and soul of the team.

I don't personally have an opinion on if LF7 should play but I sincerely hope he is ready to discuss this issue with every NFL team he speaks with leading up to the draft.

The discussion would be pretty cut and dry. "I was hurt and had been hurt all season. I tried to play through the injury less than 100% several times throughout the season and it was in my best interest to get to 100% so that I would be ready to play for your NFL franchise for Rookie Training Camp." Absolutely no NFL GM will hold it against him.

Easy cop out for making a bad decision

Easy comment for someone not risking their entire future on a meaningless game.

So now the guy who:

was held back because of miles' meddling on offense;

was told by media and others to sit out this season, but played anyway;

got injured because he stuck it out this year;

played through it;

and had his head coach fired...

...all during his career at LSU suddenly isn't a team player because he left a few weeks early to protect his future?

What more do you think Fournette owes you, his team, or his interim HC? You tell me how wanting more for his family is a "cop out" and a bad decision.

Love how people who probably never played the game can tell everyone all about what's best for others making long lasting and impactful life choices.

Meh it's not worth arguing anymore. I've done this in two threads now and it's just something we will never agree on.

you keep referring to "the majority" which is complete bullshite

idk where you are getting your statistics from, but I've seen and spoken with a number of LSU fans who don't see this as a big deal

he's not playing. Why does it matter to you or anyone else if he travels?

And don't mention "the media" as though ALL of the media agrees with you. 2 dudes on college football live agree with you.

it's time to get over it, one way or the other,, because your crying certainly isn't going to change anything.

I swear some of you people are just always looking for something to complain about.

It doesn't and I've said several times I don't think he should play...he's hurt

I'm not complaining I'm just stating my opinion on the subject matter. Should we start banning folks for disagreeing with anything LSU?

That's because there's no logical argument for your side. You're just being selfish about another person's life choices.

You would rather him be a cheerleader on the sidelines of a meaningless game in a meaningless season than focus on the rest of his life.

Calling it a bad decision and his family a cop out shows just how selfish you truly are considering how much fournette put in to his time at LSU.

None of us are Leonard, not one of us are walking in his shoes or have any idea what he is facing at any given moment. It is time now for Leonard to do what is right for Leonard and his family. His choice was clearly outlined and none of us will ever know what that choice requires, or what he went through to make it. The important thing about Leonard is that he chose LSU three years ago. He has shown his loyalty, team support and commitment every day since that day. He has now reached the end of that journey and has made the choice that is right for him, just as he did on TV when he picked LSU and we all cheered him as the best ever. He still is that same person, dedicated to his family, his school and his God. The rest of it is unknown to anyone else but him. Just remember, he could have chosen any other school to play for these past years, but he chose this one. I am thankful he chose LSU and he has done nothing but reinforce what a quality young man he is. Best of luck Leonard. Thanks for the memories.
