Is it true Amazon will start charging sales tax January 1?

If so, I'm stocking up on a year supply of dog food before hand. Does anyone know if this applies to ebay as well?

Depends on your state. They probably got an abatement on a fulfillment center in your state in lieu of sales tax collection.

Damn - I used to buy bigger purchases / purchases I didn't need right away and send it to my folk's house to avoid tax. Damnit, Louisiana - you can't stop screwing me even though I left you years ago.

They already are in Alabama. Some bullshite deal worked out with the AL legislature. fricking greedy bitches can't let me buy my shite from out of state and illegally not pay taxes on it any more. Assholes.
