How is anyone in Aleppo alive anymore?

Just looking at pictures, how is anyone in the city alive anymore? How are they drinking clean water, or any water for that matter, getting groceries, and medical supplies? I don't expect to compare the situation there to an American standard of living, but I am curious about basic necessities.

Their faith in their peaceful religion, of course.

Say what you want, but the Bedou are relatively hard, indestructible people when it comes to stuff like this (like Russians, in a way). A Western population tends to wither under pressure like this (some exceptions, of course, London during the blitz, the French under occupation and the German civilian population, all during WWII). Arabs and other ME populations? Just another war, just another siege.

People find a way to survive through war.

I can't tell if the editor of the wikitravel Aleppo page is extremely pedantic or a master of dark, dry humor.

Where there is a will, there is a way. People survived Stalingrad, Berlin, and Sarajevo. Why not this one?

They all went to Europe:
Oh, and that Bana twitter account is fake, she is living in the UK. All of that "live footage" is really shite her handlers filmed months ago in Aleppo.

Will some of these refugees be wearing blue helmets some day?

Looks a lot like Sarajevo after the UN pulled out and NATO took charge.
My experience there was that the strong and lucky survived.

Not all of the city is like that.
The part controlled by Assad is relatively livable. The WSJ had pictures recently.

Surviving due to their faith in Allah, I'm sure.
