Will Republicans fight to keep the next Democratic president from taking office?

This is an unprecedented attack on our system of government. Everything from the manufactured outrage over Russian "hacking", to the threatening of electors, many of them no different than those posters on this board, working and raising a family . Some electors have received over 70,000 emails begging or threatening them to abrogate their sworn duty. I think many of them are frightened . This may be our new normal. What Republicans will take away from this election is that every effort needs to be made in future elections to keep an elected Democratic president from taking office, by whatever means necessary. I only see this likely escalating in the future, until it plays out in Secession by either red or blue states.

No, Republicans are too busy working and providing for their families.

Electors around the country are being harassed with a barrage of emails, phone calls and letters — and even death threats — in an effort to block Donald Trump from being voted in as president by the Electoral College on Monday.
The bullying is overwhelming Sharon Geise’s tech devices, but not her resolve to support Trump.
The Mesa, Arizona, grandmother woke up Wednesday morning to more than 1,500 emails demanding she not carry out her legal duty to vote for the president-elect.
“They just keep coming and coming,” Geise told The Post, estimating she’s received more than 50,000 emails since the election. “They’re overpowering my iPad.”
One elector got an email stating he would get a bullet in the back of his mouth

Won't need to if Trump fulfills his promises. Everyone will benefit from it.

So why is this happening now I thought we won on Nov 8th?

We can just stop paying taxes

Yes, it's called campaigning.
All the other bullshite, is just that, bullshite.

you silly man
its not an attack on anything but Trump and his idiotic selections for cabinet.
Republicans refused to even vote on a supreme court justice nominee.

There was nothing more unique about this election than many others.... no more so than a community organizer with perceived ties to radical Islam, and legitimate questions about his place of birth. Far more significant questions than what is being alleged at present against Donald Trump. Of course the birth certificate seems to have been produced and those issues laid to rest, but they were very real, after Obama's election. There was no concerted effort at that time to convince electors to change their vote. In the future I suspect there will be some escalating issue in every election.

Every generation needs to experience how The Left behaves when they are denied power. It's a very valuable thing for so many Americans who don't really follow politics but value fair play, to witness this. This is how The Left rolls. There is absolutely no bottom if they are not constrained by the "normals" in society.
Of course, if you were unfortunate to be one of the 100,000,000 million dead under Communism in the 20th century, you got to see how The Left wields absolute power. So I guess we should feel lucky that these Leftists are at least temporarily able to contain their appetites for destruction.

A good start would be cutting the head off the snake in green lighting Soros and putting a bullet through his head.

I'm sure all the murdered police officers he is responsible for this year might disagree with you.

On Nov 8th the voters gave a "suggestion" to the elctors on who to vote for.
The actual Presidential election has not taken place yet, it will take place on Monday when the electors vote.

If this is our new "progressive" societal norm, I look forward to decades of bribing, threatening, kidnapping and murdering of future electors and their families. No future of civil unrest or mass chaos here. No slippery slope here.

And that decision seems better and better everyday.
