That article says that the Russians did hack the DNC, but that Comey doesn't think it affected the election.

The disgraced former Ambassador to Uzbekistan? He said he met an intermediary in DC. Maybe he's full of shite. Maybe the intermediary got the info from Russians. Or maybe every intelligence agency is wrong and Russia didn't hack the DNC.

I must have interpreted the opening paragraph wrong. I thought the only disagreement between the FBI and CIA was a matter of intent, that everyone was in agreement that the Russian government hacked the DNC. It'll be interesting to hear if Comey says anything about it.

Not really. It sounds like every intelligence agency is in agreement with everything but motive. I wonder what information the CIA has that the FBI might not be privy to (and vice-versa).
I'm just upset that it'll be decades before most of this is declassified. I want to read the book already.
