Another CB for Akers!!!
Posted on 12/13/16 at 2:50 pm to ifyouonlyknew
My sauces says that OM pitched their snake oil to him until almost midnight Sunday night it does not sound like they gained much traction. I think it is 60/40 FSU to LSU but he is very interested in the OC hire at LSU and how it will benefit his skill set. I understand he is very close to his family and does not want to venture far from home which is a plus for us. Sauce thinks if LSU gets the right OC then they have a really good shot.
The OP info lines up with what I heard, Akers interest did cool from last week to this week but it’s due to the uncertainty of what type of O we will be running next year.

I heard that too, definitely not putting the kid's interest first.

Maybe the staff informed Akers that Canada will be OC

I am not surprised in the least by this. Their bagmen have to hide out this year while they wait out the NCAA hammer. Ole Piss gonna Ole Piss.

Does anyone know if Akers has signed aid papers with FSU? That would give them unlimited phone, text, and social media contact with him. Unfortunately, thanks to Chance Womack and Saban, we would be at a disadvantage if Akers has. Thanks to Womack flipping on us after he signed aid papers with us, we got hit by a rule that was so ridiculous the NCAA changed it as soon as we were penalized by it. None of our recruits can pre-sign aid papers until at least next year because of it. That still pisses me off, but I'm sure Saban had a great laugh over it.

Akers should look at the stats of Pitt's James Conner from this past season. Rushed for over 1000 yds with 16 tds. I think that would convince him of the Canada hire.

No commitment on his part...more of a commitment from LSU.

From a USA Today article from Feb 2015.
quote:
Because LSU apparently continued to engage in unlimited contact with offensive tackle Matt Womack, a prospective early enrollee from Senatobia, Miss., after he changed his mind about signing with LSU last fall and signed with Alabama, the Southeastern Conference has punished LSU. The league ruled that LSU can no longer sign early enrollees to financial aid agreements for the next two years, and the SEC is cutting 21 of the program's 210 evaluation days of high school and junior college prospects in the current year, according to public records obtained by the Baton Rouge Advocate. LSU signed five early enrollees for the class of 2015, including Kevin Toliver II – the No. 3 cornerback in the nation out of Jacksonville, Fla.

So who is wrong? Sec Country that's reporting today that he signed financial aid papers or an article from USA Today from almost 2 years ago?

It's financial aid papers not a letter of intent. I thought that much was obvious
