Would you like to live in a world with all likeminded people?

If it were possible to live in a world where 100% of the people shared your exact feelings about things like; religion, family, politics, morals, etc., would you do it?

you're not finished,
I bet.
I bet.

I gave him an up arrow. Terse wording always impresses me.

Nope. Premature post!

I'd give it a try.

Yes that's called a nation.
But you left out race
But you left out race

In my heart I think I would, but I also wonder if it would become boring?

You'd get a lot more done that way.

A persons race isn't important if you share the same values.

Yes, I would. It's more or less how I pick my associations now.
I enjoy homogeneity. Diversity, not so much.

But I'd like to live in a world were different ideas are considered factually and civilly. I'd like to like in a world where the press was made up of journalists like Tim Russert and David Brinkley, not duplicitous partisan hacks like Chuck Todd and George Stephanopoulos

I'm not sure that that is a good thing.
Normally, surrounding yourself with 'yes men' is courting disaster.

Across the board? I don't see the benefit.
On specific issues? Yes.

I don't think so. I hung for about 15 years with like-minded friends and families with not one second of regret but then my work life took over and I had to settle for less.

Let's pull up the history books on multi racial societies. Hoping and wishing for kumbaya won't do nothing.

Perfect examples
Russert was as liberal as one could be but Never showed bias in his reporting. Completely fair in all accounts.
Brinkley was the same but conservative.

Well those multi racial societies didn't share the same culture or values. In my scenario, everyone does. So the color of their skin for the purpose of this experiment is not relevant.

I'd like for everyone in the world to be like me except for 2 or 3 that would be radically different. We'd keep them in a zoo for entertainment and educational purposes.

No. I would starve.
I am an attorney, therefore, I need people to act human. In direct terms, I depend on acts of ignorance and negligence for my business.
Liberals, with their thought processes, are for lawyers as the buffalo were for the native Indians...we feed off of 'em.
