Chris Reid and Trent Forshag played for New Orleans Boosters but they don't have stats anywhere that I can find.

The full breakdown for each player that participated in Summer Baseball is below. Josh Smith and Jake Slaughter are incoming Freshmen that participated this past summer, which isn't common for incoming recruits under CPM. In fact, Kevin Gausman is the only other true Freshmen to play Summer Baseball before starting his LSU career.

Returning Players that DID NOT PARTICIPATE in Summer Ball
Kramer Robertson, SS, SR
Jared Poche, LHP, SR
Russell Reynolds, RHP, SR
Hunter Newman, RHP, SR
Nick Bush, LHP, FR - Rehab
Alden Cartwright, RHP, SR - Rehab

Incoming Recruits or Transfers that DID NOT PARTICIPATE in Summer Ball
Nick Coomes, 3B/C, JR - JUCO Transfer
Zach Hess, RHP, FR
Todd Peterson, RHP, FR
Rankin Woley, 2B, FR
Zachary Watson, SS, FR
Mason Templet, 3B, FR
Blair Frederick, LHP, FR
Eric Walker, RHP, FR
Matthew Beck, RHP, FR

Note: Bryce Adams left LSU early to get a head start in summer league ball, per coaching request, which is why he was able to play more games. Not including him in the Team Leaders because he played more than 20 games more than anyone else. We will show the love for Home Runs though, since he hit the most.

I think so too. I really hope we take him out of the 9 spot to maximize his PAs. He had roughly the same BA and very similar OBP as Fraley but with 50 fewer plate appearances due to the difference in batting position (this is not an argument that Fraley should have batted lower), resulting in a difference of 13 base hits over the course of the season.

I just don't want to leave that production on the table again this year. Wouldn't mind him leading off or hitting 2nd. I did read that Smith may be leading off to start the year.

ETA: Also not saying Freeman should have batted higher last year, just making the argument to maximize his production this upcoming season.

Still no formal announcement, but someone posted a week or so ago that he's not on the roster on LSUsports.net any longer. That's not usually an accident.

He wasn't guaranteed a prominent role (not that he was asking for a guarantee) so he and PM decided that if he wanted to spend his last year of eligibility on the field instead of in the dugout, he should do it somewhere else.

He's graduating from LSU (I think he's redshirting this year) and will play his last year at UNO.

Chipola this year (with about 9 other transfers from big time D1 programs) and then Kentucky for his Junior season.

Ah thanks. Googled and didn't see anything about a transfer so I was surprised.

On a side note, I'm feeling really down about this season because of losing Andy and the promotions PM made. I had a man crush.

Wow, he's going to rake there. Especially against that schedule. Crazy a guy of his caliber cant get playing time here.

I was very skeptical of the job Blake Dean would do at UNO, but I think they're going to have a decent team again this year and they've got some talent coming in in the next class as well.
