My god i cant believe all the posters who just think Sark will fall apart under pressure. Im a recovering alcoholic and have not drink since Dec 24 1990. I promise you i have been through things over those years that would make you snowflakes melt. If the man is doing what he is supposed to he will stay sober no matter what you throw at him. If not you will find out soon enough.

Remeber O has not drink in 17 years. When he did not get the USC job ........ he did not drink. He put his big boy pants on and moved forward.

The thought that someone with a drinking problem has to be treated with kid gloves and never put under pressure is just stupid.

Bammers are saying he got torqued up Sunday night. Could be a smokescreen, though.

honest question for you?

has it gotten any easier with time?
was it more difficult early in the recovery stage like what Sark is now?

90% of alcoholics relapse within 4 years of treatment. Congrats on being the 10%! I don't give a shite if he has had 100 drinks a day or none. He, like you, cannot control himself if he has a drink. Should LSU commit millions of dollars to a risk who hasn't been able to control himself in 2 other jobs (not counting Bama)? I would think not being that there are much better options with less risks. I felt the same way about O, not because of his drinking, but because of his track record as a Head Coach. I apologize for your illness and my use of rational thought.

That's prettymuch the debate Francis.

Bammers are saying he had to be carried off the plane back from ATL. He's (allegedly) not "doing what he's supposed to."

He's already fallen off the wagon, according to reports, so it's really a moot point.

I find the concern around here regarding Sark's drinking to be hypocrisy of the highest degree.

All the good all baws that brag about how drunk they get at games, how early they start drinking, etc are suddenly worried about Sark?

Anyone who truly believes/says that "could you imagine Steve Sarkisian in south Louisiana" is an idiot.

I hope those who say that are speaking in jest.

O could also be a wonderful influence on Sark. You're right the Sarkisian will relapse cuz he's in BR nonsense is just that, nonsense.

So if you were an NFL GM, would you sign Josh Gordon to a big contract next year?

If Kiffin leaves and Saban doesn't hire Sark, that's a HUGE red flag.

I mean it was very obvious Alabama was dead set on Sark to transition to OC. And Sark went to Tuscaloosa for that very reason. He was highly thought of by staff.

Something very obviously changed in the last couple of weeks for Bama to look elsewhere.

You can take guesses, obviously something happened that caused Saban to look in another direction.

IF the rumors from bama ranters are true, he's folded under the pressure at his last 3 schools. Wash, USC & now Bama.

Allegedly, Marlon Brown's grandmother disagrees with you. But there are those who think UGA recruiters planted that story.
