This is such a strange situation.
Honestly, I'd rather Helfrich or Briles over Kiffin. But if O doesn't get Kiffin, his top target, then that negates the very reason we hired him.
I don't want O to "luck," like Miles, into a better hire. This speaks to his ability to follow through with promises and targets, and his ability to identify the right thing to do and the right person who fits his plan. Which are all huge question marks given the last time he ran a program and made hires.
He should have to prove he can do these things to prove that he has learned from his Ole Miss experience and can elevate this program moving forward.

Briles and Kiffin are a waste of time. They are both actively searching for HC jobs. LSU is an afterthought. And they will do the same next year. Which would completely undermine recruiting. Because when they do leave, they get a jump on our top recruits, until the next OC is hired
