WTF man? Have you even been to Louisiana before?
Posted on 12/2/16 at 4:24 pm to goldennugget
LOL! Have you ever been to BR or NO?

Gus Young AVE, Plank road, chippawa st., Prescott, Hell anyplace north of Fla. Blvd. On the south end I would stay away from all the "President" streets between downtown and campus
You would walk around the Gardere area? LOL! I know you just overlooked it.

Is that good or bad for Bham?

Is this a serious question?

Remember the poor out of town family that stopped to get gas a couple of years ago. I think it was off I-110 by governer's mansion. Didn't that guy walk up to the Dad and say something like "you stopped in the wrong place" ?

Good.
In my experience, the violence in new orleans was everywhere. I dont think i realized how desensitized i was to it when i lived there. Even the shitty parts of bhm (bessemer, north side/finley blvd) dont compare.

They weren't from out of town.

I walk around my hood, 13th Ward New Orleans, at night alone. Sometimes I have my Dorkie. It's pretty safe but I am aware of my surroundings.

A couple of more losses and LSU would be playing in the Birmingham Bowl. These Louisiana baws could come to the game and experience the local flavor of west Birmingham and see how it compares. I suspect they would realize it stacks up pretty well......

We hear about bad neighborhoods and yes they exist but are there really any areas you truly would avoid and stay away from?
Yes they exist but it's not like there are sketchy types there with nothing better to do than rob or attack random passerby who look like they stepped in the wrong neighborhood. It just means the area is more likely than average to consist of criminals and crime.
WTF? You were just posting earlier this week that you're nervous walking around a Wal-Mart in the suburbs of Seattle in the middle of the day. Now you're on here a few days later implying that walking around the sketchier parts of New Orleans at night shouldn't be a problem?

Sure they are. Crime is often opportunity based. Criminals aren't exactly brainiacs capable of a whole lot of pre-planning, generally speaking.

Nah man, Orleans is completely 100% safe at all hours. Go for a stroll sometime.

I have zero intentions of ever being north of Florida Blvd walking by myself.

For Nola: everything east of Franklin Ave and north of N Robertson, most of Nola East, parts of the 7th Ward (the closer to the I-10 bridge, the more nope), St. Bernard projects area, southern portion of Mid-City (Tulane Ave. to the I-10 bridge), most of Central City, and frick going deep into Hollygrove. There are plenty of areas outside of the above mentioned but it'd take forever to specify all of the streets to avoid in Nola.
For BR: pretty much everything north of Florida Blvd and most of Old South Br. Gardere ain't nothing compared to the shitstain that is NBR.
