How big does that affect our recruiting efforts in Texas? AND let's get a home-away with this idiot savant.

It doesn't. We don't recruit head to head with Houston. They have like 4 players on their roster that LSU would even offer, and only 1 that we did. It's not like Les would instantly change that. UT becoming relevant again is a much bigger threat to our Texas recruiting.

No 4 or 5-star recruit is picking Houston over LSU. If we're competing for less than that, then he's probably an expendable prospect and easily replaced with a LA prospect.

It doesnt affect LSU at all. LSU and the purple and gold colors will always out recruit any coach they hire..

Les will destroy Houstons football program. Houston will be his last Head coaching job ever if he lands it.

3 years and he will be terminated.

LSU doesn't need to fear Les Miles. Miles is a 60 year-old coach in the declining years of his career. LSU would be hurt far more by a young coach at Houston who can stick around for a decade and turn that school into a perennial contender.

If Houston ever got their Frank Beamer or their Bobby Bowden, the existing powers would be stirred. Les Miles is not a young Bowden or Beamer. Frank Wilson would be a far greater threat.

I would be more concerned with Hermann at ut. He has built a unbelievable following with coaches and 5 star players in his short 2 year stint there.

The more important question is why would the 3rd best coach in the country go to Houston? Les is the greatest coach to ever wear the purple and gold and nobody but Saban and Meyer are even close to as good and he's going to Houston? That's impossible there are too many other elite teams that are probly beating down his door to hire him. And what about the NFL I'm sure he could get a job there too instead of Houston. That's a job for an up and commer or a below avg coach not the third best coach in college fb.

It won't affect lsu recruiting in texas at all. We recruit a different caliber of athlete than houston. Just look at the recruits they sign compared to ours. Players know that houston will not give u the chance to play with the best and against the best like lsu offers. Our athletic dept is alot richer than houstons too. Our facilities, resources, and our fanbase are bigger and better as well. Not to mention the exposure you would get at lsu compared to houston. It's really no comparison between the two schools.

I would certainly think that a good number of Herman's recruits were told of the Houston plans to join the Big12. Now that the Big 12 has told them "No Thanks"
how many top recruits are going to spurn UT, LSU or A&M to play in a conference full of the likes of Tulane, SMU, Tulsa, UCF, etc?

This is hysterical. Les Miles isn't winning at Houston. Les Miles isn't winning anywhere. He can only win with superior talent and he won't have it.

We would not compete directly against him, but I'd prefer he didn't wind up at Houston, just in case he'd poach the occasional four star every three or four years.

Their offense will make Houston's rush hour traffic look like Daytona.

Zilch, Les is a great recruiter as long as he has those three important letters - LSU - on his clothing and the best stadium and facilities in college football.

He is a dime a dozen at any other program, see OSU results prior to having the LSU assets at his disposal.
