Will recruiting be affected if Miles is coach at Houston?

LSU has always recruited well in the Houston/east Texas area. Will Miles affect LSU's recruiting in that area and even in Louisiana? He has developed relationships with high schools and their coaches throughout the years.

Lolol miles ain't getting lsu targets at Houston.

Yes, it will be affected.
No, I do not think it will be significant.
Miles, though offensively rigid, is a class act and good coach. We should be more concerned about his relationship with LA kids than Houston/Texas.

Unpopular opinion, but it was LSU's brand that recruited Texas kids to Baton Rouge moreso than Les. If a 5 star skill player from Houston wants to go to LSU, I doubt Les's prehistoric offense is going to sway him to play for UH despite how good a recruiter/family man he is.

he would go after some targets. He will not get any that we, TAMU, or UT really want.
As well as miles did with recruiting, Thomas and Wilson were his work horses.

don't be so stupid, will he take all our targets? Absolutely not but to think he won't get some recruits from Louisiana and in the Houston and surrounding area's to go to Houston, you will be wrong. Now we will win most battles that we want but Miles is too good of a recruiter not to win some battles!!!

Does anyone seriously think that Houston, well known for its high octane, wide-open spread offenses, would turn to CLM, who was fired by LSU for his poor offense and lack of QB development?

No. Oliver is the only recruit I can remember that LSU has fought Houston for. Miles wouldn't really change that. Herman at UT (assuming he turns that program around) is far more concerning.

you are giving les way too much credit

One 5 star recruit has gone to a non-P5 school and that's because his family ties to the school.
Miles being at UH would be such an abject failure.

But that is exactly what happened at LSU. Something I never understood is how Les Miles got so many 4 and 5 star WRs/TEs at LSU with the kind of offense he ran.

Really? Miles with his ARCHAIC offensive scheme that everyone and their mothers knew he was run-centric, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, offense was able to pull in 5 star receivers year after year when there was no reason for them to come to LSU. Those receivers have made it to the NFL because of their skill not LSU's coaching and offensive schemes.

i guess we will see how good Bradley Dale Peveto is

Miles will get all the 260# fullbacks and 280# blocking tight ends that have no hands to catch passes.

I think that TCU and Arky would have to worry about getting the players that LSU can't take on a yearly basis. Moreso, Than LSU, Tamu, UT..etc
