It means he was so low on the staff that he wouldnt get fire by the administration when a season went bad. Also, dave Aranda is actually far more qualified than Ed Orgeron and was actually hired to be his boss.

Yes, he was so "low on the staff" at USC and LSU that the administration said, "You know, we just fired our head coach, so let's promote somebody ahead of both of our coordinators that's completely unqualified to be our interim head coach. I think that's the best way to move forward this season."

I guess in your delusional world that's how it went.

Your "facts" consist of nothing but bitching and moaning nonstop that Orgeron is a career D-line coach. A CAREER D-LINE COACH!! OH MY GOD!!! NOOOOO!!!!!

I guess you should call up Joe Alleva and give him the cold hard facts:

"I am Rickdaddy4188, bitch! I average nearly 5,000 posts a year on TigerDroppings.com, don't you know that?! Hey, I KNOW Ed Orgeron is nothing but a career D-line coach, and I KNOW you hired Dave Aranda to be his boss, which explains perfectly why you passed him over TWICE in one season to take over LSU's head coaching duties. And don't think I DON'T KNOW you offered him two coordinator contracts in the span of one season as part of your elaborate plan to lure Orgeron into a false sense of security before we unleash our entitled, whiny, utterly irrational dim bulb fanbase on him. His record at USC and LSU doesn't count because he didn't coach the whole season!"

That about cover it, yeah?

Looking forward to many, many more years of fascinating commentary from you, fella.

Now with three (3) head coaching positions at major universities on his resume.

Just two.

You count about as well as you defend your position, don't you?

With snappy comebacks like that, it's no wonder you have more than 25k insightful comments here.

I'll tell you what was pathetic. The $4 million plus that we paid GoodOleLess each and every year . We were reminded weekly on Saturday just where our program had sunk down to. Good riddance , and I hope he gets hired for a school that has their games lined. It will be a hoot to see who if anybody hires him. I wish him luck.

I like to think that negOs are rich people with degrees that leave early and cant change a flat tire. They also sit while in the stadium. Never make noise on third down and generally aren't much fun. Meanwhile their kids run wild and annoy everyone else

He's had two HC positions. Old Miss and LSU (current). USC was an interim position. I'm sorry you're too stupid to distinguish between the two concepts.

Coach O has just as much experience being a head coach as Miles did when we hired him. But Rick will never say Miles was a career assistant.

It's not a concept, it's a job title. What do you think the players called him?

"Hey, interim guy, put me in the game!"

Spend more of your life posting on TigerRant - you'll figure it out.

Not logic it's a fact they have the same amount of head coaching experience when they were hired to be LSUs head coach. That's not disputable you idiot.

OK. What were their respective records? Based on those respective records, which do you think was the most logical hire?

Are you counting on your fingers? Generally, you should have five fingers on each hand, but a retarded inbred mother fricker like you may have to make conforming changes.

Hey stupid I'm not saying he's a better hire what I said was you can't disqualify him as a candidate and call him a career dline coach. Hooked on phonics works with reading comp you should try it dumbass
