Did a great job as USC
Did a great job at LSU
Has Dave aranda
Possibly Kiffin(could hurt Bama)
This is his dream job
More competent than Les
The best at motivation
Will let his coordinators coach

I'm getting being coach O!

I think this was the best LSU could do considering all things

This is simple psychology. Anyone we hire was always going to be rationalized as "the best decision", because in reality, it's the only decision.

So you convince yourself it's for the best. Prior to the hire, you were operating more objectively. Now, you're deep in your own delusion.

hiring a coach no one else in the entire NCAA Div 1 wanted is never a good decision, ever.

*and LSU did this...not Purdue or Vandy...but LSU (lol)

The only true plus is he is a great recruiter and great motivator. His teams will always play hard and will be more talented than all but 1-2 teams on the schedule.

Did a great job at LSU
ha ha, yeah, no. Average job at best at LSU
Has Dave aranda Possibly Kiffin(could hurt Bama)
For how long? Then what? Yes LSU sucks again
This is his dream job
wrong
More competent than Les
the man on the corner would be more competent than Miles
The best at motivation
Plenty of other better coaches good at motivating
Will let his coordinators coach
Yes because obviously he can't
I'm getting being coach O!
not me
I think this was the best LSU could do considering all things

Yes Settling for O was the best they could do. That's what's wrong with people now a days. They are so ready and willing to settle. F that we as fans and boosters deserve better.

Remember when O wasn't at LSU and he was pillaging the Louisiana talent? It's a wonder that Les and Nick were able to get anyone from LA to play at LSU while O was on the warpath

No he can't.

No he did not. 10-4 on the year. 5-2 when he was interim. Lost two of three against good opponents. One of those by blowout on his home field.

Has Dave aranda

Maybe. But maybe not this year, or more than next year.

This is his dream job

This is bullshite he says when here and irrelevant to how good he will be at the job.

More competent than Les

No he is not. His history as head coach doesn't remotely compare. O's is frankly terrible and Les has the best winning percentage of any coach in LSU's history.

The best at motivation

An intangible? bullshite. And apparently not discipline. We already started to see the wheels come off against Florida.

I wonder if Sabans players love him..doubt it...Players respect him for his knowledge of the game and his ability to TEACH and PREPARE them to become the best that they can be.

Herman is 6-6 agains top 25 teams at Houston. With far inferior talennt to those teams.

Orgeron is 4-17 against top 25 teams with much better talent.

What would orgeron's record be at Houston with shitty coordinators and a WR for a quarterback?

Except we got folks saying Alabama has more talent then us. Matter of fact while we have top 5 and top 10 athletes in most positions our sore spot is QB.

quote:

Did a great job as USC

And did a horrible job at Ole Miss.

Look Coach O is a good man but he's not the right fit as HC of LSU. We can try to rationalize and accept the outcome but the fact remains we lost opportunities for the best HC canidates again. I can't get over how Alleva botched last year and with 2 months can't get a top HC while a dumpster fire Texas team fires a coach and 2 days gets a top HC.

It's like we don't have the fire to go for it all.
