He's a disaster before he's coached his first game as official HC. Meanwhile Herman is the GOAT with two years experience at a mid major, and he'll turn that dumpster fire in Austin into a playoff contender by this time next year.

The situation isn't ideal, but come on.

How are they scared of the midget in Tuscaloosa?

They just chose not to come to the dumpster fire that LSU now is under the leadership of Joe Alleva and F King Alexander.

O wasn't my 1st choice but looking back on it he should have been. I am all in. I can't think of anything to 2nd guess Alleva about. As far as those other 2 guys, we are better off without them.

Herman is not the GOAT. Far from. But we should have been able to attract a far more accomplished coach to this program. Coaches are not scared of competition. LSU has talent and fertile recruiting grounds. Therefore, it must be the leadership that keeps good coaches away.

As noted in the 7,883 other threads, you can accept that O is the coach, hope we catch lightning in a bottle and get the new GOAT but still be pissed at the complete, unprepared goat rodeo this so called coaching search was.

Three months ago, who says "Sign me the frick up!" if you would have known that starting our coaching search 6 to 8 weeks before everybody else after buying out Miles yields the D-line coach as the result?

All I know is that Coach O would best Saban's arse in an actual fight. That's my silver lining.

He's been an official head coach before. He had the worst tenure in Ole Miss history. Every coach before and after him have won a little there, but not O.

Alleva said in the press conference that the only offer made was to Coach O...so, no nobody rejected LSU...they weren't offered..Jimbos greed got the best of him and Herman is from Texas and wanted to coach at Texas..not LSU...so go eat a dick.

Jimbo is already coaching at FSU. if you want him greed is not am isdue. He got fricked by Alleva and King last year.

After last tears cluster frick by our Motley Fools I don't blame Fisher for asking for the moon to come here.

We did not have a search it was Fidher, Herman and O in that order.

A complete dumpster fire and embarrassment of incompetence by our AD Joe Alleva.

Odgeron resume as intermediate coach and head coach says mediocre at best.

We find someone interested with a history of running a successful college program. Fleck is 12-0. Fedora is 15 games above .500 for his career. Dan Mullen has a decent track record at one of the most difficult schools to win at in the SEC.

There are more. For crying out loud, how hard is it to find a guy with a better career won loss record and history of building a program than O?

UT isn't a "dumpster fire". Wouldn't be surprised if they win 10 games next year, especially with how weak the Big 12 is right now.

O Is my first choice, and I hope it works out for all of us. If not, I was wrong. Won't be the last time
