So what exactly does Brian Kelly have to do to get fired?

Probation
Vacated wins
Killed someone
Cheating scandal
4-8 Losing season
Horrible press
Player arrests

Kelly has coached in a national championship game and Fiesta Bowl. Strong has never finished 500 at Texas. It shouldn't be hard to see the difference

Didn't Kelly recently (relatively speaking) get an extension?

First, he didn't kill someone.

Second, he should be fired.

LSU is considered a "top 5" job and they had to settle for Ed Orgeron. Who the hell could Notre Dame get that would be a clear upgrade over Brian Kelly?

ND athletics is a cult. If you criticise ND from the outside, they attack you.

FFS, they think ESPN doesn't like them.

Kelly would do fine if ND didn't handcuff his recruiting with admissions requirements. It's just a hard place to win now.
