He will be a Gene Chizik. Hire a good OC, win the natty, switch to pro style, get fired in year 4

If by that you mean pay a player of Cam Newton's ability to come and lead us to one, then I half way agree that's likely on the table if both he and Kiffen are in the same war room...

I would feel better about it if we hadn't lost the Florida game in a Miles-like fashion. But it was impressive how we rebounded against A&M and whipped arse on a short week and missing several key guys.

He can recruit, he loves LSU, he has a lot of passion and players really like him. Those are his selling points. And I like O a lot more than Bobby Petrino or Larry Fedora. I just wonder if we had a realistic shot at Mike Gundy.

O is well-credentialed and his football/coaching pedigree is outstanding: played on the same Northwestern State team with the likes of Hebert, Reasons, Duper, and Bertrand (he's a buddy of mine so I threw him in just in case he sees this) and coached under Hatfield, Johnson, Pasqualoni, Carroll, and Payton.

This is the most incredible thing ever written on this site.

We're using Bobby Hebert, Mark Duper and Paul fricking Pasqualoni as reasons as to why O has the resume to be the head coach of a Top SEC football program.
