I think that has always been an assumption... and a bad one. Probably propagated by Texans, who think everything outside of the borders of Texas is very similar to Nigeria.

Good coaches, career minded individuals, people with something to prove, and up-and-comers don't think that way.

Only after all that is taken care of do you get a coach who settles in like that. And then it's probably somewhere else, or they get fired for being lazy.
