If LSU loses tomorrow

and finishes 6-5, I could see them turning down a bowl bid.
No head coach; Fournette status uncertain. Clusterfrick of a season.
I could see LSU telling the Liberty Bowl or Independence Bowl, thanks but no thanks.
They could instead opt to turn the page and turn their attentions towards a new head coach and a fresh start to the 2017 season.

For a new coach, those 15 practices would be extremely helpful in determining what they have to work with and what to focus on in recruiting. I can't imagine they turn it down in any circumstance

Yeah and just say frick the money that comes with going to a bowl game when we are in the process of hiring a new head coach. Come on now. What kind of message does that send to players we are recruiting if we just don't play in a bowl game because our season turned out to be underwhelming? Our senior and draft eligible Jr's deserve to play in a finale bowl game. LSU will play in a bowl game.

Trump won, get over it. Are you serious. It is not a Penn State situation. We fired a head coach. Fournette should not have played the Auburn game, much less any games after. The seniors should play a bowl game.

This thread is awful. Free practice time for potential new recruits. LSU would never turn down a bowl game in my opinion, because you're robbing all of those seniors that came back this year of their senior bowl game. Even if it is the Independence Bowl. No senior wants to end his career with a loss to frickin A&M.

Those extra practices would be helpful, as would competing in a game format.
