I'm sure some do. But what do 18-22 year old college football players know about the reality of the situation? The people who matter have wanted Strong to succeed from the get go outside of a very small number of inconsequential boosters (in Houston, who like Herman) who think they're more important than they are.

Red's comments at the beginning were wrong and unfortunate but didn't and shouldn't affect the shitty product on the field.

If anything, you could say that Steve Patterson's cost cutting bullshite showed a lack of support, but he was doing that bullshite to every sport (don't even get me started on what he did to the tennis program)!

Fenves, in particular, has been squarely in his corner because he wanted Strong to win so he wouldn't have to go through a change.
