are they saying that coach O is winning with players he didn't recruit so that is a knock against him or that the offense system and defense system are systems he didn't install? What exactly?

He didn't build this program. That includes staff and players. His performance as an interim coach means nothing to me towards his canidiacy

Miles built a top 5 talented team. Good for him to get them focused to play to that level but that doesn't prove to me that he can get a team to that level and then compete with the best

They mean Les Miles' championship offensive players were coached up by offensive guru Nick Saban.

Yes all of that.

Not his players, coaches, or system.

He has had his players, coaches, and system once. He has built and maintained one program.

He was historically bad. In our division in our conference.

but the staff and players are already there. He actually did recruit a lot of these players and his I didn't think his recruiting prowess was even in question. We would want him to keep most of this staff, I would think, especially Aranda. But even if some of them left, do you think it is a question whether other top assistant coaches would want to work with him?

so your saying Orgeran couldn't couldn't recruit top talent. That's one of his strengths.

He won't have to, nor will what ever other coach may come in, because it is already to that level. In fact he took it to a higher level since he took over.

Well we want to keep Aranda and his defense system
Ensmingers offense system seems to be working pretty well but he could always hire a more established OC and use his system. That's the beauty of it. The head coach doesn't need HIS system so he doesn't have to be tied down to a crappy system (like miles was with Cameron)

but now he apparently isn't(ie: see the Missouri, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Arkansas games. Florida and Texas AM tests yet to come)

Yea, this had "trap" written all over it. He'll just simply post some retorts claiming "O good. Everyone else bad". The back and forth is tiring. The ones who want O will continue to want him. The ones that don't will not. End of story.

So you're saying having a HC who doesn't know what he's doing so we have to hire a competent OC to make up for it is a positive?

I'm saying either that Orgeron is a more competent coordinator than people give him credit for or it isn't relevant to being a successful head coach as evidenced bvy the success Coach Orgferon has already had here. In a very short time frame he has turned around the Offense and special teams and improved the defense. How do you explain that?

I total agree with you. That is LSU team built by good recruiting from all coaches. Coach O included. I think if he wins the rest of the games, he should be the leading coach for job. The first thing they need to do is sit down Dave Aranda find out his plans and feeling about a head coaching job. With that said I think LSU needs to find a good young aggressive offensive coordinator

He has no experience as a coordinator, what credit should he be getting as one?

Simple, the one good defense we've played under Coach O we scored 0 points. Sound familiar?

I could probably land a plane on autopilot, that doesn't mean I'm qualified to be a commercial pilot.

OK, other than Jimbo Fisher what other coaches can you point to whom they may get that can currently make that claim.

I'm not against doing due diligence and weighing all options for head coach, but above post is stupid.
