This. Most all are great people, just like any group.

Most black people dont hate whites. Id say about 60-65% dont mind whites and actually have a desire for white acceptance. This is especially true for folks that grew up in the 80s when the economy improved and more blacks became homebuyers. But there ARE elements of mistrust of whites, to varying degrees based on life experience, upbringing, age, etc.

I was talking to a conservative friend recently. Im a moderate Democrat that could swing either way under the circumstances. I revealed to him that that more and more blacks are getting fed up with the Democratic Party, and the GOP should start making moves to accept us. He agreed.

A large majority of blacks folks are just trying to live a good life and raise good families just like white people are. But the media always portrays us as lazy moochers who want nothing out of life, or criminals looking to scheme the system. Some of those exist, but not the majority. Its the same way the media portrays all conservative whites as lunatic bigots, when thats just not the case. Meet people, talk to people and sooner or later there will be less friction and more understanding.

I will never understand why a sizable number of posters feel as if Black America hates white people, or that we all are leeches off of the government. As the above poster stated, most of us ajust go about our day to day matters trying to be a better person - a better American.
