It's a shame that democrats have tried to make this a racist issue. It's not. I had to show my ID this morning and the poll worker quickly confirmed I was a registered voter. It took about 30 seconds and I was sent on my way. If that's too much work for someone to have to deal with in order to vote, you shouldn't be voting anyway. Just stay at home because you are obviously a drain on society.

You guys can thank me later for keeping BamaAtl corralled in one thread.

"Democrats" haven't made this a racist issue, Republicans have. When they're on the record stating that voter ID laws are intended to suppress minority votes, that's pretty damn racist.

I think we should be fingerprint confirmed.

Walk up. Put finger down. Scan.

This would save people from having to show their ID. Some folks don't have a drivers license, but everyone has fingerprints.

Off topic, but how hard is it to get an ID? It should be required to vote, no questions asked.

You need ID to legally drive, buy alcohol and many other things. Is that considered racist also?

Don't even care. The system is so slanted in the other direction there's no such thing as "fair" anymore.

Sorry I don't have sympathy for "community organizers" rounding up hobos and trading cheeseburgers for votes.

Get an ID and register.

Add to the fact that most states issue free IDs to residents. If they're so disadvantaged that they don't have a job and are on the government's dole, anyway - they have all the time in the world to go down to the gubmint office and get the ID.

Personally, I think being on public assistance should temporarily suspend individual suffrage until you begin contributing again.

I like the fingerprint idea for a number of reasons. Also I was joking about the not wanting iD thing even though I do leave my wallet in air ports often

They are intended to suppress the vote of those of those who don't have a legal vote to cast, those who intend to vote multiple times and the dead vote. Sorry you are too dense to understand that.

Why don't you want minorities to get an ID? How are they able to function in America without any identification? Why do you support voter fraud?

I am pretty certain most, if not all, States require anyone over the age of 18 to carry some form of identification on them at all times. So even if they do not have a drivers license, they are suppose to have a State ID.
