I agree that Oline is why we lost, but it wasnt the execution as much as coaches

I don't blame their play as much as I do the coaches putting them in a poor position to succeed.
I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I could predict 75-80% of the plays we were going to run, If not the direction. There were lots of plays with the 2 Wide sets, WRs playing as TEs! A WR will not win blocking the box, period.
Lack of short passing plays hurt too. No threats of slants, ins, outs, curls, etc. This tells me that when in shotgun, either a run play to the opposite side of Fournette, or a deep pass.
What happened to driving? For those who say QB didn't have time to throw, what would a solution be? If your QB is getting pressured early, Get rid of the ball early.
Sure, the Oline lost often, but tell me how many Olines could succeed when the offensive play calling is so one-dimensional? The boys did everything they were capable of doing, but Bama were playing with ears pinned back.

The o-Line got run over. No need to blitz or bring an extra defender. We lost one on one.

I didn't say anything about blitzing, but if you watch the game again you do see the box is stacked often.
Regardless, I'm talking about LB play more than anything. They were able to sniff out the plays quickly, resulting in us getting met early.

Officiating was as hard to beat as bama. They left things alone until they thought bama needed help.

I don't think it matters what you do when our QB is in the shotgun and still doesn't have time to set his feet throw. Granted, he did have time every now and then and missed a few throws but that is 100% due to the success of that D line. They rattled him, like they would almost any QB in that situation. Give credit where credit is due.
But it's over now, move on and focus on the pigs.

Qb had 2-3 seconds. It's on the line

Sorry I can only give you one upvote!

The backs look like all American's and the qb's look like all pro's when the O-Line is able to dominate. In this case it was the players in Red and White that dominated and would have wrecked ANY offense (pro or spread) with this O-Line.

You need a QB too, c'mon man.

We tried to run into 7-8 man fronts a lot?

When they blew Boutte up and he landed on his arse first thing I thought was coaching. Who decided he could play that position in the SEC?
Posted on 11/7/16 at 7:53 pm to beantown
yes there were alot more sets with tight ends on the line, that was because the line could not handle it on their own.
hindsight they couldnt handle it with help either.

Boutte gets blown once and that determines that he's not able to play in the SEC? That play didn't determine the outcome of that game. You clearly don't watch much football.
