Just be consistent.
If foster started his tackle before etling slid, then i think its fair to say white started his motion to nudge hurts before he stepped out.
this inconsistency had an affect on the outcomes of the two drives in which they occurred.

There was without a doubt holding on the touchdown, and it was obvious in real time.

Obvious hold and they shouldn't have scored a TD.

Wouldn't have mattered though, we'd still lost 3-0 or 6-0

Was the replay clear on the int of DE? Didnt show it in the stadium, so I assumed it was probably inconclusive. he just wondering.

They showed it a couple times in the stadium while it was under review actually, and it was inconclusive. I honestly think he had it.

Foster also hit Etling helmet to helmet.

If the refs were told to not call holding or PI and lets say Bama knew they were told this while LSU didnt that would be very interesting indeed...

The thought of a Bama TD or big play being called back in a big moment is laughable because it simply never happens.
It's not going to happen. I've seen two other instances (Ole Miss and aTm) with big momentum changing plays this year where Bama was holding or blocking in the back, and there was no call.

It WAS a game changing play, and we got fricked, but that's the way it is. Deal with it.

If we had a half arse decent offensive line we could have beaten the gumps, but that didn't happen. LSU had their number on defense and shut them down, but didn't have the chest to move the ball.

It's over, the gumps are the GOAT, and we get no credit whatsoever. 3 losses to top ten teams totaling 17 points. 17.

Dominate the Hogs, Faggies, and Gators and move on.

And recruit some big mean motherfrickers to protect the qb and pancake the DL.

i mean, none of those are clearly holds without seeing the actual live video

I've been a back judge on a crew for many years and I understand your concern. From this pic, its impossible to tell for sure if there is clear cut holding. We look at the hand position of the blocker and whether or not the defender is attempting to pull/spin away from the blocker.
Sometimes defenders will raise their arm(s) as if to say, Im being held when in fact, they are simply being pushed off balance and cannot regain their footing. I also look for clenched fists as opposed to fingers spread when blocking. It all happens so fast, you have to make a split second decision.
I'll call holding if the hold clearly affects the outcome of the play, otherwise, let it slide.
On this play, watching it at full speed, it appeared one of the three blocks was clearly holding.

Man, even I saw Robinsons hold but didn't know there 3 on THE SAME PLAY.

There was only one hold on the play. The other two have a hand on the front of the player.

Pretty big. Without that consider Hurts getting tackled around the 28 and Bama attempting a 45 yard field goal to take a 3-0 lead, if he converted it. With 10 minutes left in the game.

So YOU want the refs to help LSU win games???? Looks like it.... Is it the REFS fault that LSU ONLY got 125 total yards???? NO... Is it he refs fault that as great as the LSU D played that they gave up 323 yards???? NO.... GROW UP... The better team won last night... PLUS....IF LSU had won 10-0 and the TD was because of A non holding call, YOU would say it was a legit non call.....

You do realize the score was 0-0 at this point and the play happened on 3rd and long at the 25. A holding call would have put them at 3rd and 19 on a passing down, which Hurts was terrible throwing. Who gives a shite how many yards we had at that point. Even if we got to OT at 0-0, who cares. The other team doesn't deserve to be spotted 7 points just because the other team isnt moving the ball effectively.

If holding is called on the TD run, Bama gets the ball back on the 31. If we stop this drive. I believe the game ends in a 0-0 tie and we go into overtime.

The gumps got jacked up with this score and only added another field goal.

Momentum has a huge effect on players.

Nope, won 5-3. Hurts intentionally grounded out of the end zone. Sham offsetting personal fouls cost us a FG.

Some people can't connect the dots. Bama wasn't doing shite on offense either. Until that BS call on D White. It doesn't mean we would have won but it allowed them to score and win. Hurts ran into the endzone due to a major hold also.

The one thing that really stands out in my mind is when Etling took off running and then slid, feet first, obviously giving himself up (right there he is a "defenseless player" according to these "player protection rules") yet there were no flags thrown when he gets a helmet to helmet hit from a Bama player.

I've seen the exact same scenario, more than once, where a flag is thrown.

Moreover, there was no review from Birmingham. Xavier Lewis gets a targeting call reviewed after a commercial break, buzzed from Birmingham and in turn is ejected from the game on a punt return by Tre'Davious White. I don't recall the opponent but it was very recent.

Here's Etling giving himself up and gets a helmet to helmet hit, there's no flag thrown and there's no review from the "experts" in Birmingham.

No, the refs did not cost us the game but there were certainly many questionable calls and, like the one I just mentioned, calls that weren't called.

Every time we play Alabama. Every damn time.
