It just seems to me that they deal with same environment, but the points people don't get the good side of everything. Points people give up their bread, tomatoes, pickles. The Dwights get those benefits.

We're on easy street and it feels so sweet...

What was the base with the satellite that rick slaughtered?
Is that a different group that Negan owns. Or was that point workers, or was that saviors like Dwight?

It was literally and figuratively a satellite base used by Negan. That's one of the places where supplies are brought, which keeps potential enemies from Sanctuary's doorstep.

This show is not good enough to tolerate the commercial breaks. I'll finish this episode and then I'm likely out. It just isn't worth it.

Do you think they have since reinstalled a base there?
I wonder if there's more of those satellite bases

I'm sure there are new people stationed there. As for more bases, I'm pretty sure there are, but not quite like that one.

it occurred to me as interesting that the hilltop tribute is apparently delivered to the satellite base, but in the kingdom episode they met the saviors at a "neutral" location.
probably means nothing and was just a narrative device

So, lets take a look at this - in the middle of a ZA with the way society would become, is Negan really a bad guy? Is he truly evil or is he just doing bad things for the greater good? I mean, he is portrayed as being bad, but I'm not quite so sure he actually is one.

From the perspective of our protagonists, he is a bad guy.
Also, he kills people using a barb-wire wrapped Louisville Slugger. That's pretty evil.

Well, from the other side, our protagonists did kill a bunch of his people.

Not going to argue that. But Lucille is just a vampire bat who is thirsty...

Bowing is just a sign of respect. Been doing that in Asian cultures for hundreds of years.
Much like a salute.
The dead have risen to eat the living, they are always a thread but mostly mindless. True humanity comes out in these times. Negan is no worse than most men would be. In fact, I'm surprised more of Ricks people weren't killed.
Negan has to make examples to keep his own people in line. The killings in ep1 was just as much of a show to his own people, as it was to any newcomers

He didn't kill more of them because he wants them producing for him

He's rolling with at least 50 strong. He knows there is a community waiting in Alexandria.
The loss of 3 more at most, bringing it to 5 wouldn't make a difference.
All he would have to say is.."now you have to pick up the slack from your losses, and work harder".

I still say he isn't that bad...maybe that's because his character is so likeable. I mean, its all you can eat at the pussy bar!
