Tiger Woods announced Tuesday he will return to competitive golf next month in a tournament he hosts.
Woods, who hasn’t played since finishing in a tie for 10th in the Wyndham Championship in August 2015, said he will play Dec. 1-4 in the Hero World Challenge at Albany in the Bahamas. The tournament, which benefits Woods’ foundation, features 18 of the game’s top players.

To be fair, it his his foundation and he probably wants to have as many paid attendees as possible. Him playing accomplishes that.

To be fair, he pulled a similar stunt a few weeks ago then decided to not play.
