I don't disagree with anything you've said. But in this instance, it isn't really needed to look any further than the facts.
The guy acted completely irrationally and believed a kid going for a run, in a cross country outfit, was going to rob him. It's plain and simple. He fricked up. It wasn't self defense, obviously. And he thought the kid was gonna mug him because the kid was black.

Also, had to jump out of his car to push him to prevent from being mugged.

I agree. But consider the OP, and the stuff he posts. It's one-sided and agenda driven, typically with the "black people have a reason to fear white people" theme. Which may be true in limited circumstances, but when he and others like him fail to recognize the basis for the reverse, bringing attention to legitimate incidents (perhaps like this one, although it seems like a minor deal) becomes more difficult.
