No shite. Now is not the time to put yourself on the radar in the O&G world.

All of those guys have missed kids birthdays, first ballgames and all that shite, its part of the deal.

You are lucky to have a job. There will be plenty of big games in your future. You will survive. I know.

Grow the frick up man. It sucks but there'll be other games.

I feel your pain though, I'm skipping the bama game because I got three test the following week and I know if I go I'll fail them.

Wrong industry if you get bent out of shape being away from home. And I guarantee you that your boss or someone at your company has read this thread and knows who you are by this information you posted. Good Luck.

Probably not the best time to be doing that being so new. Luckily I work deepwater and we have coverage, so when I bail out for the ball games its no biggie. I normally take a week for one big game a year

As bad as it sucks, its probably best to suck it up and stay at work.

Ill drink one for you.

DVR it and catch it later

Not worth burning bridges in your career path for . LSU football will never pay your rent, for your food, etc.

So over the course of 3 months you've managed to work around 42 whole days without missing one. You must be exhausted. Of course you should ask off for the game. You certainly need the rest.

well, if you are legit entitled to the vacation time, then take the day(s) off if that is your choice...no excuse necessary.

if you are making up some bullshite to try to take time off before it is allowed under the company policy, then you are flirting with disaster...
