Bro-in-law has window and you can't see anything inside of the smoker. I have no window and cook well without it

It's not necessary to have a window but I like to check the progress of whatever I'm cooking. So for that reason its worth it to me.

after about the second smoke the window will be full of crud and useless anyway

My Walmart has the propane Mastetbuilt for $182, thought hard about buying one.
They also have the Weber 22" with the coal thing on the bottom for $99.

Didn't know the window model cost extra. Mine has it but it was a gift. Wouldn't pay extra for it

I cleaned mine a few times. Ultimately it doesnt matter but it is cool to see the meat being smoked sometimes
