SEC Defense National Rankings - Bama Edition

After looking at some threads saying that Bama's offense is one-dimensional, not that good, etc, I was curious about the quality of their opponent's defenses. They have scored a lot of points on teams, but how good are these defenses they are facing. This is what I found (Bama opponents in bold):
1. Florida 252.5 yds/game;
4. Alabama 274.5 yds/game;
14. LSU 313.9 yds/game;
18. Auburn 328.0 yds/game;
20. Georgia 339.7 yds/game;
56. Miss State 388.9 yds/game;
58. South Carolina 394.7 yds/game;
62. Vanderbilt 398.0 yds/game;
80. Kentucky 426.3 yds/game;
82. Tennessee 427.1 yds/game;
84. Arkansas 428.0 yds/game;
96. Texas A&M 439.4 yds/game; LOL Chavis
107. Ole Miss 455.9 yds/game;
110. Missouri 460.4 yds/game;
So, they have really been dominating the worst defenses in the SEC to this point. The other incredible thing I saw was that they have at least one defensive/special teams touchdown in EVERY SINGLE GAME they have played this year.
While this obviously doesn't tell the whole story, I think this does show that Bama has not faced a defense even close to as good as ours. And for us to win the game, we absolutely have to play great special teams (god help us) and protect the ball.

Good stats
The only catch there is that we will have to hang our statistical hats on the Miss State game otherwise our offense is pretty much in the same untested boat as theirs. The abysmal production against AU doesn't look good on paper but we've got the whole CEO/No CLM thing going for us there.

BAMAs defense to this is they want to see these numbers BEFORE they played. The numbers you've posted here are inflated because.......
Well, they've already played BAMA and they've rolled up so many yards that it inflated those defensive numbers.

That is not totally correct. They have at least 1 non offensive TD. Against Kent State they had a punt return for a TD. Kent State did not turn the ball over. Actually 0 turnovers in that game.
If you look at SEC teams only, Alabama defense is giving up 319.4 YPG and 19.4 PPG and their offense is averaging 508.4 YPG and 30.2 PPG
If you look at SEC teams only, Alabama is giving up 424.33 YPG and 27 PPG and their offense is averaging 486.67 YPG and 29.67 PPG
quote:
84. Arkansas 428.0 yds/game;
96. Texas A&M 439.4 yds/game; LOL Chavis
107. Ole Miss 455.9 yds/game;
In the Alabama game:
Arkansas 517 yards allowed; 20.8% higher than average
Texas A&M 451 yards allowed; 2.6% higher than average
Ole Miss 492 yds/game; 7.9% higher than average
Average without the Alabama game:
73. Arkansas 415.3 yds/game;
94. Texas A&M 437.5 yds/game; LOL Chavis
105. Ole Miss 449.9 yds/game;
Not a big change except for Arkansas. Ole Miss's offense outscored Bama 36-27. Bama had 2 foumbles that turned into touchdowns and a punt return for a TD.
If LSU can avoid turnovers, we can definitely win but I think it'll be a war.
ETA: started this much earlier but got called away.
