You're right. I'm just extra pumped today.

Go look at the history of Pollack comments on LSU all time. He always picks against them and always has something negative to say. He is very predictable when LSU comes up as the topic.

Part of what's going on is that we are running the same base offense, but changing up blocking schemes and play options. Little changes. But it appears to me that the key is figuring out what clues the defense is using to anticipate our plays and making tiny adjustments to alter the information. It is difficult for me to explain what I mean because I am not a coach, but in watching the plays, especially the compilations posted here, there are new wrinkles which appear to be working.

Any moron knows the difference between "their" and "they're". Pot calling the kettle black? Be careful with your accusations of ignorance.

I agree with them.

it's the same plays but we are executing them. when DE checks down and hits a safety valve receiver it may look different but BH couldn't execute that.

proper execution opens up lots of different combo's of plays and it looks "different" when it really isn't. the biggest differences I see is spreading the ball around more and being less predictable in play calling (and the increased passion).

imo, getting rid of cam Cameron/les miles is the difference. and the qb change. no longer can the opposing defense simply key on a few running plays to stop our offense.

Correct. Example, you don't see the WR motion to block the DE or OLB on running plays anymore, which was always a dead giveaway it was a running play. I hated that shite.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that defenses only have 7 in the box when we opened up the passing game, whereas with Les, they had 8-9 men in the box 99% of the time. Ridiculous.

this is so overused. mizzouri had 8-9 men in the box almost the entire game. and we ran very successfully against it. it's about getting hats on the right guys and blocking correctly. it's also about the LB's hesitating a second because there MAY be a pass forthcoming. with Miles, it was worth it for the defense to run blitz damn near every play because they could cover our 2 wideouts man to man and they were not a threat.

Another thread of LSU fans getting butthurt about the truth.

For the most part this is the same offense. The execution and balance is much better now. There may be a tweak here and there but 95% of it is the same.

Tight end involvement, much more RB rotation (we'll see with LF7 back on that) Studying film on opposing defense tendencies. Not nearly as vanilla on play calling strategy.

On this game tonight, a quick hot start by Etling and the entire offense, very important.

Consistant defensive pressure on Kelly, he needs to be rattled early and often.

All that comes to fruition and the Tigers win easily.

Geaux Tigers !

To their credit we were very bland against southern miss. We mixed it up a lot against Missouri tho, and I expect that today

They saw the stat where we are running the ball more than with Miles and assumed the only reason we are piling up the yards is "passion".

Yes they are, out of many different formations and the sequencing is much improved.

They are running the same plays with the same terminology, but from different formations, which can make a big difference. We're using 3- and 4-wide a lot more and spreading out the field, creating more running lanes for the backs. Also, we're actually running a greater variety of those "same plays." We're using play action more, and since we're taking shots, that's opening up the run game and the underneath passing game to the TEs and backs. The tempo is better b/c the play calls don't have to go from the OC to the HC and back to the OC and then to the QB. They go directly from the OC to the QB. More different personnel, like Chark and Moreau, are getting to make plays, which naturally improves morale. Finally, practices are upbeat, better run, and shorter, and more time is being devoted to film study. We're actually game planning and taking advantage of the opponent's defensive weaknesses. No wonder we're playing with more passion. The players actually feel now like they have a chance to compete with anybody, and with the talent they have they can.

I also love how Des said that Missouri and Southern Miss aren't very good and that's why they did so well the last two games. He's the one that called for Southern Miss to upset LSU last week, but now the story is that Southern Miss is not very good. Retards! Just win! Just win big!!!
