I had it done in 2000. Walked out of the surgery room, dropped my glasses in the trash and didn't look back. The ONLY minus that would outweigh the plusses is if you get in a hot tub before they heal and get infected with the amoeba that eats your brain.

100% recommend. 16 years ago, can still read the tele type scrolling on the TV across a restaurant. Slight halo effect at night but I had that with contacts anyway. Best money ever spent and paid for itself by not buying contacts, glasses, lens solutions, etc not to mention the whole inconvenience factor. Have to wear readers now unfortunately due to age.

This makes me feel better about the possibility of getting it now. You were as blind as I am.

I had PRK which didn't require me to wear goggles to sleep because there was no flap to worry about messing up. The third, fourth and fifth days were hell.
Had it done about 10 years ago and my eyes are still pretty legit.

95% of the posts will say everything went perfectly, they had dry eye for a weeks, but see like Ted Williams or a top fighter pilot now.
I would do it again 10 times out of 10 because of issues with glasses/contacts, but my contrast sensitivity is jacked up so that dark areas are even tougher to see in than before and a bright day basically requires sunglasses. The only stories that really freak me out are the people who have to get multiple corrective procedures.

Had it almost 16 years ago. Best money I ever spent. Vision's been perfect since day 1.

5+ years and no problems. Worth the money.

Had mine done this morning by Singer in metairie. No pain and the surgery was pretty quick. Took an ambien and slept about 6 hours. Been awake a few now just taking drops. Will take another ambien and sleep until my follow up tomorrow morning.
No complaint so far, vision is hazy but the fact I can type this without my glasses is incredible to me. (Was -7 or so). Haziness should go away within the day or so.

You should not be using a PC or mobile device. Was told TV only for first 24hrs when I had mine

It will. Singer did mine almost a year ago. By morning after surgery I was seeing clearly and driving myself around and went to work and stared at computer screen all day right after the follow up with doctor. Over first few days, vision got noticeably sharper each day

Best money you'll ever spend

I am with the others, this is the BEST money you'll ever spend. I had mine done over 10 years ago and still have great vision. Easy surgery, in and out...yes it's nerve racking there are no negatives...just do it.

I had PRK done a little over a year ago. I seriously wish I would have done it 10 years ago! The first few days after the surgery were rough but totally worth it. I have better than 20/20 vision now which is amazing.

Is that better than Lahaysic?

Had it years ago and it was great until I contracted diabetes and my eyes began to weaken and had to start wearing glasses again
