Credit goes to r/CFB for picking this up. Quick vid is on the main page. There's a PowerPoint and brochure right under

UH Board of Regents Chairman Tilman Fertitta, UH President Renu Khator and Vice President of Athletics Hunter Yurachek met with the Big 12 Conference officials to deliver a two-hour presentation and also participated in an earlier Skype discussion in support of the University's candidacy to join the Big 12. In addition, UH provided supplemental material related to expansion and since consideration of expansion has concluded, and in response to media inquiries, UH is disclosing this supplemental material.

No wonder they didn't get in

It seems odd to me that in a video pitching your school the narrator would focus on the city for 3/4ths of it.

Houston has a large alumni base for any college in the nation esp those in Texas OK, LA, to play there and local recruits is of value
yall put WAY TOO much emphasis on the current football team and football in general.
Houston is NEVER EVER going to the Big12 unless UT and OU leave

I'd say just Ut. Houston market would be very bare from the big 12 if both UT and ATM were gone.

Well, it's highly likely UT and OU both bolt when the current TV contract expires and I don't see the Big XII surviving that. So either way, probably not gonna happen of UofH

Houston has to focus on the city since they can't focus on fan support, academics, facilities, or overall athletic program.

A Fertitta, a Khator, and a Yurachek walk into a bar

SEC, ACC, and Big Ten all have 14 teams, currently.
Pac 12 has 12. Big 12 has 10.
That's 64 teams. So basically, when this thing splits into four 16-team super conferences, every current school in a major conference should have a spot except for one. Because Notre Dame would likely jump into the ACC (if they were forced to join a conference).
It'll be the schools like UConn, Cincinnati, and BYU that will try to force their way into the mix, and maybe knock out some schools like Iowa State, Kansas State, and TCU.
It's gonna be a shite show.

If that happens the leftovers should start a league that has some sort of regulation ala EPL.
Just spit balling, if you could figure out a way to have the best of the mac, AAC, and mwc play every year.

BYU doesn't need a FB conference. They have an auto bid to a bowl they chose. They have a good league location wise for their Olympic Sports in the WCC where they dictate what and when they want to play. The only better deal is Boise's football deal to rejoin the MWC. They keep their bowl money with no shares.
Notre Dame will not join a conference, they have too much pull in CFB. They got exactly what they wanted, guaranteed half ACC schedule and keep the traditional rivals.

If I were a glorified junior college commuter school in the armpit of the city, I would focus on other things too

Did you know that aggie fans think the University of Texas is going to be completely shut out of future realignment and will become a college football afterthought? I am serious... they were sold all of this brainwashing support as "kill Texas off for good." That's some messed up shite, sports fans.

That being said I think its a PR nightmare for College football to leave the military academies out of what would be the top level of college football. So I'm thinking it will more than 64 teams.
You could easily do 6 12 team conferences with either top 2 receiving byes first round of playoffs or an 8 team playoff with 6 conference winners and 2 at large
