TCU...got ya. Had those mixed up. So if UT wants Herman why would they make it more appealing to stay at Houston?

Texas probably doesn't care if Houston is in Big12 in the context of Herman.
If Texas wants Herman, Texas will get Herman, regardless if Houston is in the Big12 or not.
FWIW, I do not think Texas will fire CS this year... He will get one more season.
