This is irrelevant. You aren't learning shite in undergrad pertaining to the practice of medicine.

Maybe they just didn't want some random person who had no credentials to show provide medical assistance

This shouldn't be a problem because since it was Delta, there is no way the flight attendant wasn't a fat black woman or a gay man. Neither can be racist or given any grief, I'm told.

At this point you are just trusting her word on that. She has no idea if the physician actually provided his credentials to someone else.

I do find it funny how everyone rushes to call her out for assuming this happened because she's black... While rushing to judgment by assuming it was not because she's black.
Who knows what happened, none of us certainly do.

‘oh no sweetie put your hand down, we are looking for actual physicians or nurses or some type of medical personnel, we don’t have time to talk to you.’ I tried to inform her that I was a physician but I was continually cut off by condescending remarks.”
BALLS!!!!
A flight crew is looking for ANYBODY in that situation. A friend of mine was on a similar flight. She's just a nurse like me. no docs on the plane. She is IRL a frazzled mess at work, so I can't imagine how she handled this situation. Guy was having a heart attack. They deferred to HER about landing (sort of.. I'm sure the Captain wanted to land but any support was taken) the plane. She told them to land.
There is quite a bit of equipment on flights. I don't know if it is universal or dependent on flight and duration or time over water (away from hospitals), but there is a ton of shite on their that really needs MD, RN or Paramedics to use. Another doc I know was on an international flight and a passenger went down. They brought out the "kit" to her and she was like "WTF"...? Ton of meds on there.
What I CAN see happened is the flight being a Houston flight had a shite ton of medical staff on board. And she walked up and the person was surrounded. Not much room in that kitchen and 4-5 "cooks" would make that a fricking circus.
But the notion that a flight attendant had balls enough to tell someone saying "I'm a doc!", "Nah I got dis'!" I call bullshite.

I believe this story 100%. And like she says maybe it was age discrimination, sex discrimination, racial discrimination or some combination. Whatever happened it was discriminatory
Of course it was. What other explanation could there possibly be?!?

FWIW -- something tells me there should be quite a lot of witnesses -- you know, small plane and all.
The truth "should" come out eventually.
And they will all be deemed as racists soon after.

When did I ever call you racist? Having a conversation about race doesnt make someone racist. Are you one of these people who get uncomfortable whenever someone discusses race?

long as there is a very weak movement with blacks doing stupid shite like BLM protests over things that are not real, the credibility of blacks will drop. Its just a fact. The more you act like a fool, the more people will consider you a fool. What is happening how with the BLM bullshite, it taking African Americans back. Not forward. Better be ready to accept that if you are going to act the fool
Unfortunately, there are people like you in this world.

How do you know what this Delta worker was thinking? Yall frickers live in some fantasy world if you dont think discrimination against blacks doesnt exist. Just because you arent that way, doesnt mean others dont think this way. I get this shite all the time being a black engineer.
And how do YOU know what the Delta worker was thinking? Nobody in this thread has mentioned that racism doesn't exist. What they are saying, is that the race card is played far too often when race is actually not an issue. And when it is proven not to be an issue, the accusers and their supporters just walk away without having to admit it. Or when they do comment on it, they say the same thing you are saying here, "well, y'all act like racism doesn't exist". The truth is, it does and will always exist. Only you never hear that it exists within EVERY race. There are just as many black racists as whites, whether you want to believe it or not. Believe me, I deal with it all the time being a white privileged male...

I'm a white male and have literally never had a single incident due to me being white in 37 years. I'm certainly not saying nothing ever happens to any white male ever, but "all the time?"

You dont know what I believe and what my thought process is. Im commenting on whats going on in this thread.
Im not even sure what race the flight attendant was. She very well could have been black. It doesnt change the fact that it seems like this lady was sterotyped against because she is a black doctor.
