Just said this on Gameday when talking about Charlie Strong and the potential opening at UT.

"They are set up to fail at UT"

For people that still think UT is so much better of a job than LSU.

He also called Austin a cesspool. Hopefully Hermann was listening.

He's a idiot. Almost every coach out there including Saban would tell him its one of the top ten coaching spots in the country.

I agree. Texas has issues in their program outside of the coach. It's called a Mack Brown hangover. They should hire Ted Cruz for coach. Probably a better fit.

Saban also said LSU shouldn't have fired miles.

Saban just rejected a $100 million contract to coach at UT.

[Saban also said LSU shouldn't have fired miles.]

I don't blame Saban for saying this. He realized that he just lost a "rent a win".

Austin is FAR from a cesspool! It is one of the youngest upwardly mobile areas in the country albeit a liberal hub for millennials.

He was talking about the meddling from the president and boosters and the general institutional paranoia that surrounds the program. That has nothing to do with Mack Brown and it is not going away.

Im pretty sure UT would give their top coaching candidate enough time to rebuild it.

Doesn't matter if Texas has more money.

One day people will understand that LSU can match $ for $ for what Texas will offer. It's not like Texas will over $10-million a year.
