He has zero clout with the SEC. This is one more example. CEO could and would have had this game rescheduled. Of course, he has LSU backbone and ballzzzz.

The fact that he hasn't been fired before now shows King needs to be shite canned along with him. They are both completely incompetent.

I can't find fault in him lately. He's been on point. He called out Florida, the SEC, and McMurphy earlier today. Not much more he can do really.

Florida is just a bunch of pussies.

What would Ed Orgeron do? That's not even close to his job. Also he's a brand new head coach. He would have even less clout than Joe. Stupid.

So the Sunshine Pumpers are going to rally around Joe Alleva and try to make a (weak) case for him being a strong AD?

No LSU AD would have had any leverage in this situation. So just drop your BS.

A strong AD would not have accepted this from the SEC, and would have insisted on a reschedule or a forfeit decision. Not much hell raised that I could hear or see. Came home like a neutered puppy and only then whined that he made every offer and UF rejected all. LSU was in the position of strength to negotiate a mutually beneficial settlement and he basically gave it all away and came back with nothing.

How were we in a position of strength? It was UF's game. They can do whatever the hell they want with their game and that's exactly what happened. They did what they wanted.

Uhh...he could have made these statements yesterday IMMEDIATELY following the FL presser. That would have cleared the crap in the air that was around all yesterday evening

It's amazing. Maybe Alleva should have driven over and rushed the SEC office with a few loaded guns to get some leverage.

Alleva did everything he could do to get this game to happen.

Offered 5 different sites: BR, NOLA, Tallahassee, Mobile and Knoxville were all presented. All were declined by Foley.

Offered accommodations in NOLA and BR for Florida AND provided transportation for Florida. That was also declined by Foley.

He can't go over there and twist the guy's arm and make him have the game.

I was no Alleva fan per se but he earned some respect from me in the last 24 hours.

Florida's AD and the SEC commissioner are being pansies.

Who do you believe could get this done?

Should we move CEO to interim AD as well.

This is idiotic. Give the man a break. He said what needed to be said, perhaps more tactfully than was needed but he's been vocal.

Pump your sunshine on JA. Excuse weakness, ineptitude, passivity. You got the AD you deserve. He is, like you and your fellow pumpers, all talk.
