Saw this was attributed to Jerry Jones on some facebook post. I assumed it was made up.

When my boss tells me to do something, I have 2 choices. Do it or hit the road.

What times we live in. Players are perceived as "cool" when voicing unpopular opinions. Owners are scared as shite to release their ID when voicing common sense.

It was a FREAKING FACEBOOK MEME. Deadspin later admitted this after they fell for it too.

I was reading the comments in their story earlier this morning and somebody linked where it was attributed to Clark Hunt in a Facebook post.

Just proves the ridiculousness of both sides. They both wanted it to be true because they both thought it helped their side.

NFL this is why no k e is watching your shitty games. It's like you're too dense to understand that people really do not give a shite? Just because reporters want to report on something doesn't mean people want to read it. The people who actually watch your games could give less than a shite about this shite. I turn the channel of any mention of blm or anthems now

n/m

if proven as a farce, doesn't matter who it was supposedly attributed to.

read up on the Rooneys and you will know they would be the absolute least likely to say that.

Because what's more American than forcing your people to publicly worship the government. Right?

I have no problem with the owner telling them to stand respectfully during the anthem either in recognition of the country or just out of respect for the people around them. I think it is fair and appropriate.

I don't think it is appropriate to tell them to salute, say a pledge, or sing; however, standing quietly and respectfully is the other option.

What made this country great in the first place was giving the people the right to do whatever the hell they wanted.

People need to tread lighty when considering whether or not the people should be forced to publicly display allegiance to the government.

This isn't the Soviet Union. This is still America, greatest country on Earth.
